What would you do if you won the lottery?

It’s the million-dollar question, isn’t it?

They say, money can’t buy happiness, but are they really sure they know that, because money can buy mental health private professionals, can’t it?

Here’s what I would do.
If I won a nice absurd amount of money I would invest it straight back to my parent’s pockets, I’d get them the help in whatever is going on in their maturing mind that is making them so unhappy, so sensitive, the same parent’s that used to be happy, laugh with each other or just being nonchalant all the time. It’s hard watching them be unhappy, is it old age that makes people become suddenly overly sensitive, or even when they go completely silent for ages because no matter what one person will say it will always end in a stupid argument, so they just avoid talking to the other at all costs.

Australia isn’t like the USA where it may be extremely easy to access rehab, where you pay 20k stay a couple weeks and be rejuvenated. We don’t have too much options, where we can go get the help someone might need, in coastal towns like mine, there is no help besides GP’s or the hospital, just two options, there are no AA meetings or NA or GA for that matter, the local government just kick the mental health to the curb.
When there’s no other options everyone just suffers in silent, heartbreaking silence. Because even trying in the first place to get help is the hardest pill to swallow.

If I won that much money, I would open up an adult’s centre where they can get help for free, similar to a mental health facility Headspace which is from 12–25-year-olds, where they can go to a centre and talk to professional and get the help that is needed. It’s 2025 and we need way better mental health facilities in rural city towns, we need better ways to be able to get help or try to.
